An experienced AP Studio Art instructor for the past twenty-eight years, Tamera began the AP Studio Art program at Coppell high school. She has taught AP 2D Design, AP Drawing and AP 3D Design as well as developed the curriculum and scaffolding courses for those programs.  Awarded the TAEA Secondary Teacher of the Year in 2003 and TAEA National Art Honor Society Sponsor of the Year in 2006. Tamera has served as a College Board/ETS Reader for the past eight years and as a table leader last year.  She has worked as a College Board Art and Design consultant teaching summer institutes and one day workshop both in person and online. She has presented a variety of workshops on AP Studio Art and other topics at Texas Art Education Association conferences as well as provided professional development for Coppell ISD and other area districts. As the Studio Art Master Lead for the O’Donnell Foundation Advanced Placement Arts Incentive Program, she has led professional development in partnership with local museums and galleries, mentored new AP Studio Art teachers, and provided support to students at various school in the grant. Serving as a Curriculum Consultant Tamera has worked on Lesson Design (UbD) for courses K-12, including AP Studio Art Courses and International Baccalaureate Visual Arts (IB).
