Tony Villarreal has been a public science teacher for 11 years. He has taught at public school and at public universities and colleges. He began an AP Environmental Science Program at his first high school and grew the program from 20 students to over 100. He currently teaches AP Environmental Science and Dual/AP Biology at Sharyland Advanced Academic Academy. He has served as a leader his previous and current school district as a curriculum writer in AP Environmental Science. He has served as a Reader for Collegeboard for 6 years. He also served as a lecturer at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Environmental Science, as well as an adjunct faculty member at South Texas College, teaching Biology I and Environmental Biology. He is also a consultant for National Math & Science Initiative, where he has conducted teacher training and mentoring as well as Student Study Sessions all over Texas. He holds a B.S. & M.S. in Biology as well as a M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Technology.
